Rainfall in Rio Grande do Sul in April 2024
At the end of April 2024, heavy rains hit the state of Rio Grande do Sul, affecting more than 20,000 people in various cities, including Esteio, Montenegro, Sapucaia do Sul, São Leopoldo, Alvorada, Santa Maria, Caxias do Sul, Bento Gonçalves, Passo Fundo, Vale do Taquari, and other regions. In response to this situation, the Central Única das Favelas (CUFA) is leading a solidarity campaign to help the flood victims. The campaign is collecting food, hygiene products, medicines, and water.
